There is much useful information on these sites, but it may require some effort to find it. Most sites have search engines, indexes, site maps, etc. which can help locate information. You will might want to try searches on "school lunch" or "child poverty" or similar topics which might be interesting. If you find something useful, let us know!

Some of the site links are followed by a link within the site which is particularly relevant and illustrates what useful information might be found on the site.

The US Census Bureau site contains an enormous amount of statistical information. The child poverty information link on our home page uses information obtained from the bureau's site.

The Manitowoc Public Library Databases link provides access to an index of HTR newspaper articles and other resources. The search interface is hard to use, but it has lots of very useful information. It may not work properly on your computer so you may need to go to the library and use one of the workstations there. The staff at the library reference desk is very helpful in helping locate information. Several years of the HTR are available on microfilm for viewing and printing. Use the computer database of articles to know where to locate articles in the microfilm archives. The library staff will assist with locating sources of information on any subject.

Wisconsin's Open Records Statutes grant citizens broad access to most information kept by the government, including school district information.

Let us know of other good sites to link to!
